LONI Network Factoids
- 23 owned fiber miles
- 496 permitted fiber miles under Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with DOTD
- 1,155 IRU fiber miles from private providers
- 1,674 total fiber miles in the system
- 32 discrete channels along 98% of the total fiber miles with each channel capable of supporting 10G, 40G or 100Gbps
- Each channel is a "sandbox" which is mutually-exclusive of the other channels potential creating a virtual-isolated network across the entire state
- 17 locations around the state to enter and exit the sandbox
